WindReach Farm is Growing: The Expansion of the Harvest of Health Horticultural Program
WindReach Farm can now do more to contribute to the lives of individuals living with disabilities. Thanks to an Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant, WindReach Farm is expanding our Horticultural Therapy program and will be able to positively impact thousands of individuals with disabilities, mental health and chronic conditions living in the Durham Region.
Made possible through a $715,800 three-year Grow Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Harvest of Health Horticultural Therapy Program will be scaling up to be able to offer more sessions; add additional gardening spaces; and build a fully accessible year-round greenhouse and living classroom.
WindReach Farm is thrilled to have the opportunity to share the therapeutic benefits of gardening, nature and plant-based activities in this fully accessible program that is designed to meet the unique abilities of each of its participants.
Together with the Ontario Trillium Foundation, WindReach Farm is dedicated to building a healthier, more active and inclusive community, where individuals of all ages and abilities can thrive!
