Get Outside! Adaptive Sport & Recreation Program
Is an outdoor-based adaptive sport program offering sport and recreation activities to people of all ages and abilities. Regular physical activity is an essential part of a high quality of life; the Get Outside! Program aims to engage individuals with disabilities and not only promote skill development but increase socialization, develop long term health and wellness and expose individuals to the therapeutic value of spending time outdoors.
Main program offerings include archery, para/tandem cycling, boccia, sitting/standing volleyball and goalball. If there is another sport you would like to try, just ask! Other recreational activities include trail exploration, pond studies and wildlife education. No previous sport experience is required, and individuals of all ages and disability types are invited to participate.
Generously funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, this project is FREE of charge for program participants. For more information and/or to schedule a session, please contact Monica Sze at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 905-655-5827 ext. 239
