Get Outside! Adaptive Sport & Recreation Program

An outdoor-based adaptive sport program offering a variety of sport and recreation activities in the beautiful outdoor setting of our 105 acre accessible farm.

Beyond the Farm Gate Program

An innovative program that incorporates all that the Farm has to offer into a mobile service which visits users out in the community.

Acres of Fun Summer Camp

An inclusive/integrated summer day camp for children ages 6 to 13 with and without special needs. Each week has a different theme and features a variety of activities.

Day Visitor Program/Book your Visit

The Program appeals to a variety of audiences including families, schools, seniors facilities, clubs, and community organizations. We work with you to create your own customized visit.

Harvest of Health Horticultural Therapy Program

We invite individuals of all ages and abilities to participate in our Harvest of Health Horticultural Therapy Program using gardening and plant-based activities to promote health and improve physical, emotional and cognitive wellness.

Homespun Wool Program

We invite individuals of all ages and abilities to participate in our homespun wool therapy program, which encompasses all stages of the wool processing cycle, from raw fleece to the finished product.

Royal Assisted Tour Program

WindReach Farm proudly offers services to assist individuals with accessibility needs to visit the Royal Winter Fair.

Other Programs and Services

Learning-4-Life Adult Day Program

A therapeutic and structured day program for adults with disabilities – strengthening skills, independence, and physical well-being in a safe and nurturing farming environment.

Therapeutic Riding Program

The human/horse connection can be a powerful one.  Learning to ride and care for a horse, participants experience improved physical strength, balance and coordination as well as increased attention, concentration and self esteem.

Overnight Visitor Services

Our accessible one and three bedroom apartments provide the ideal facilities and environment for respite and/or extended visits to the Farm.

Community Participation Program

Provides participants of all abilities with life skills training and hands-on work experience which give meaning and purpose to their lives.

School Therapeutic Riding Program

This weekday morning program offers students, their teachers and educational assistants the opportunity to participate in the daily activities and responsibilities of a working stable

Instructor Mentoring and Training

We are always happy to assist new candidates in achieving their certification goals by offering mentoring with a CanTRA certified coach or intermediate instructor.

Skills Training Centre

Our Skills Training Centre provides a hands-on learning environment for groups and their accompanying instructors to connect skill development with real-life learning opportunities.

Para-Equestrian Dressage

Our goal is to enable our therapeutic riding participants who are ready to advance to the next level. To expose them to the grass roots level of Para-Equestrian Dressage competition and dressage test riding in the hopes of fostering a love of sport and the drive to set goals and accomplish new and wonderful things.

Can Praxis Supported by Wounded Warriors Canada

Assisting Veterans with PTSD, WindReach Farm is proudly the Ontario home for Can Praxis.  Using horses to help soldiers recover and regain their family relationships.

Durham Therapeutic Riding Association (DTRA)

A separate organization run by its own executive committee, DTRA offers group therapeutic riding lessons out of the stables at WindReach Farm two evenings a week from May to November.
